The PastePuck
Two types are available.
Type one uses the Dek/Novatec cartridge for the paste. Type
two has a one piece solid body, refillable via a refill station.
From a visual point of view, there is little difference between
the two. Both have the same printing mechanism, both can interfaced
to a variety of printers in exactly the same way.Three sizes
of print head are made, 175mm(7”), 300mm(12”)
& 380mm(15”).
Some
Benefits...
Designing the PastePuck
and the interface to the same height as a standard squeegee
blade means no software mods are necessary. Retro-fitting
is just a matter of removing the standard squeegees, replacing
them with the Puck pushers, setting the print parameters,
and locating the Puck under the pushers.
By enclosing the paste inside the head, harmful effects of
atmosheric contact have been eliminated. The Media Print Gasket
makes the head to stencil seal, keeping the paste contained
within the head. This results in no paste on the foil to degrade
or crust.
PastePuck differs from other encapsulated units in the way
that the paste is delivered to the board. Rather than utilising
an outside power source, the motive force is taken directly
from the printing machine itself. Squeegee downforce is exerted
onto the paste within the head. This force is transfered to
both apply a down force to the head, thus sealing it to the
foil, and move the paste through the head onto the print window.
The system works with a lower printing pressure, eliminating
the problems usually associated with other Pressure Heads
such as Concretion and Paste/Flux separation.
PastePuck can be trimmed to suit different board sizes and
sealed when not in use keeping the paste in optimum condition.
It minimises operator contact with print media and on-stencil
deposits are negligable.
Right through from priming the head to printing, the PastePuck
requires only basic training. This saves on lengthy installation
visits minimising downtime so increasing productivity. |
